2014 Federation of Private Medical Practitioners’ Associations, Malaysia
30 Sept 2016
KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 30 (Bernama) -- Over 100 orphans across the Klang Valley are to be treated to a special programme in conjunction with the third Doctors' Day celebration on Oct 10.
Federation of Private Medical Practitioners Associations of Malaysia (FPMPAM) president Dr Steven Chow said the programme would be held on the eve of Doctors' Day, starting at 10am, at the Medical Academies of Malaysia building in Jalan Tun Razak here.
"At the programme, there will be a Mini Fashion Show by the doctors themselves, a magic show, book donation and a whole host of games and goodies.
"Apart from that, university students and members of the public are also invited to participate in the concurrent blood donation and organ donation pledge event and a public talk focused on drugs and training sessions on CPR and other basic life-sharing techniques," he said in a statement.
He said that besides the celebration in Kuala Lumpur, private doctors' oganisations in Perak, Penang, Sabah and Sarawak would also be organising events in conjunction with Doctors' Day.
"Oct 10 was chosen as Doctors' Day to emphasise the importance of full commitment and professionalism in medical care for our patients," he said.
FPMPAM urged all Malaysians to join their doctors in the celebration to share the importance of a good doctor-patient relationship in times of health and disease. -- BERNAMA
